Curriculum at Salem County Christian Academy

What is Christian education? It is not just using a Christian-based curriculum, nor does it happen automatically because our teachers are Christians. Christ-honoring education is a deliberate process whereby the life that Christ has given to each teacher is communicated to each student, producing true disciples.

This process involves curriculum that reveals God’s nature by the study of His world and Word. Most of our curriculum is produced by Christian publishers, such as A Beka and BJU Press. We do use the Saxon Math program, though not produced by a Christian publisher, because of its superior content.

At Salem County Christian Academy we are striving for excellence, therefore our approach to curriculum is based on Ecclesiastes 9:10a: “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might;” and I Corinthians 10:31: “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” We challenge each student to do his or her best for God’s glory and we choose curriculum to support that goal.
